Getting started

From a brand-new account to your first delivered report.

Create your account and workspace

Head to the sign-up page and register with your work email, or use "Continue with Google" to skip the password step. If you register with your email, we send a link to confirm the address: it opens a page where you set your password (and your name, if you like), and then you're signed in. The password entered on the sign-up form stops working at that moment, so only someone with access to the inbox can use the account; you can set the same one again. With Google there is no such step, because Google confirms the address itself. When you sign up, CrunchJunkie automatically creates a workspace — the shared container for your clients, data sources, reports, and team members. Most agencies run a single workspace for the whole company; you only need more than one if you operate genuinely separate businesses. Once you're in, give the workspace a name and upload your logo under Settings → Workspace. The logo and brand colour you set here flow straight into your white-label reports, so it's worth doing on day one. Your 14-day free trial starts the moment you set up your plan, and you keep full access to every feature for its duration — you add a payment method up front, but nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then. Home then shows a "Finish setting up" card with three steps, in this order: track your AI visibility, connect your marketing data and build your first report. Each step is ticked off once your workspace has done it: an AI Visibility project with scan results, a data source of any kind on any client, a report that is not in Deleted. The card hides itself once all three are done, and you can close it sooner.

Connect your first data source

Open Integrations from the left-hand nav and pick the platform you want to connect first — most people start with Google Ads or GA4. Click Connect, and you'll be sent to the provider's own OAuth screen to authorize access. CrunchJunkie never sees your platform password; you grant a scoped, revocable token that we store encrypted. After you authorize, choose which ad accounts or properties to import. A single OAuth connection can expose several accounts (an MCC, for example), so select only the ones you actually report on to keep your workspace tidy. The first sync runs immediately and usually completes within a minute or two; after that, data refreshes automatically every day. If a connection ever needs re-authorizing, you'll see a clear banner on the Integrations page well before it affects a report.

Build and preview your first report

Go to Reports → New report and assign it to a client. You have two ways to start: click Draft with AI to have Crunch assemble a full first draft from the client's connected sources (add an optional focus or objective, then Generate), or start from a smart default layout for the channel you connected. Either way you're never staring at a blank page. Every widget is editable: drag to reorder, click to change the metric or date range, and add comparison periods to show change over time. Everything renders against live data as you build, so the preview you see is exactly what your client will get. When the layout looks right, let Crunch AI draft the executive summary — it reads the numbers in the report and writes a few plain-language insights you can edit or regenerate. Save the report as a template if you'll reuse the structure for other clients.

Invite your team

Reporting is rarely a solo job, so invite colleagues under Settings → Team. Enter their email and pick a role: admins can manage billing and integrations and export the workspace's data, while members can build and deliver reports. Invitees get an email link and join straight into your existing workspace, sharing the same clients and data sources. Users are included with your plan up to the plan's limit — see the Account & billing guide for the specifics. Removing someone immediately revokes their access without affecting any reports they built.

Schedule your first delivery

Once a report is ready, open it and click Schedule. Choose a cadence — weekly or monthly — set the send time, and add recipient email addresses. From then on CrunchJunkie emails a branded report with a live link on your chosen day without anyone lifting a finger. The email carries the report as a PDF attachment (the same document as Download PDF, rendered at send time) plus a live link that always shows current numbers; untick "Attach PDF" in the schedule if you prefer link-only. The schedule panel shows when the report was last sent. That's the whole loop: connect once, build once, and let the reports send themselves.

Bringing your existing reports across

Already reporting somewhere else? You don't have to rebuild by hand. From the "Finish setting up" panel on Home (or the welcome screen), open "Have existing reports? We'll rebuild them", drop in your current reports — Swydo, Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio), PowerPoint, PDF, screenshots — with a short note about what each one shows, and our team recreates them in CrunchJunkie connected to your live data. This is a done-for-you service, so it's included on paid plans. On a free trial you can send one report this way to see the quality; start a plan (or use "Activate now" from Settings → Billing) to have us rebuild the rest. If you're on a free/no-card account you'll see an upgrade prompt instead of the uploader.

Your Home page

Home answers three questions each morning. Needs attention lists everything that needs a person: open critical and warning signals, data connections that need reconnecting, AI keys that failed, report emails a client's inbox refused, AI visibility scans that failed, scans paused by the Managed AI budget (one entry for the whole workspace), scheduled reports that have no recipient, and the Managed AI checks when this period's are nearly used up. The count is the full total; when there are more open signals than the list shows, it says so and links to the Signals page. When it says All clear, it names what it checked. Items that were not there on your last visit in this browser are marked. Next 7 days lists the scheduled report sends and weekly rank checks of the next seven days. Clients shows one row per client: AI visibility over the last 30 days (answers that name the client divided by all answers, both sources together, with the number of answers) and its change against the 30 days before, where a "~" means the change is less than twice its margin of error (the rule the AI visibility cards in reports use); positions (keyword, place, engine and device) that entered or left the top 10 at the last weekly check, counted only when a second reading confirmed them, with "Checking…" while that check runs, "Not confirmed" when it ran but its moves could not be confirmed, and "No weekly check" when none finished in the last eight days; open signals; the last report sent with its delivery status, and the next one; and data sources that need fixing. Sort the table by client, visibility, change or open signals.
